“A Short Visit In Mall Of Asia”

Hi! I was thinking yesterday to post this but apparently, we were included to the electric service interruption due to relocation of secondary poles because of road widening. However, it’s back so I decided to share now our short visit in MOA.

MOA stands for Mall of Asia which is located in Bay City, Pasay Philippines. It is just 10-15 minutes from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and is the largest mall in Asia that’s why it is called MALL of Asia.

It was our first time to visit this mall and nah, it is very spacious with a huge supermarket, dining area, a lot of salons, nice stores, cafe’s and many more so you can have great meals here or even have some good coffee because this mall really has it all.We were craving for siomai so we decided to eat in Chowking and after that, as a first timer who is not familiar with the place, we got lost inside because there are many indoor and outdoor part of the mall so we were like asking the people if where is the exit which I think, it was soooo embarrassing hahaha 😄.

Anyway, at the back of the mall is the scenic view of the Manila Bay which I really enjoyed. Take note that it is not polluted so you can walk along the coastline without worrying about the smell. With free entrance, there are also few amuzement rides (including the farris wheel) which we didn’t try any of them because our purpose was really the view of Manila Bay. There were those that were participating with the rides but I observed that most people prefer to just sit while waiting for the sunset. It’s the favorite reason to be here. But I have no photo of the sunset because we left the place at around 4:00 pm.Aside from that, there are also plenty of food stands here. The bay view on the side and stalls on the other side which I think, it’s a great place to have some rest after spending so much time shopping at the mall of Asia.

It was 4:00 pm when we decided to go home because we were thinking about the traffic. If you have been in Manila, then you probably know that rush hour or not, traffic has become a normal scenario in EDSA these days. Here’s a photo that I took when we were along EDSA dealing with the Manila traffic.

And here’s a photo of traffic in EDSA taken by pbatara.

Anyway, We enjoyed our short visit in MOA despite of the traffic. So if you want to relax when you are in Manila then I would suggest you to try in Mall of Asia. They say that it is better to visit the place at night because of the fireworks display. It is accessible by bus, jeepney, and taxi. Just ask if where the mall of Asia is and everyone in Metro Manila knows. Fronting the mall is a big iron globe. Here’s a photo of it taken by whoa.leo.

So if you saw this, then it’s an indication that you are already in Mall of Asia. Have fun.! 🙂

Thank you for reading.

“11 Favourite Quotes From The Book Tuesdays With Morrie By Mitch Albom”

Hi! Today, I will be sharing my favourite quotes from the book “Tuesdays With Morrie”. I still can remember, it was one of the books I was assigned to read for an English class back in college and I honestly enjoyed it so much and probably one of the greatest books that I’ve ever read. However, it was very shocking for me to read some reviews and they were saying that the book was very sappy and boring. So obvious that they missed the message of the book. 😄✌

Tuesdays With Morrie is a non fiction novel by an American writer, broadcaster, columnist, musician, screenwriter and a best selling author Mitch Albom. The story was later adopted by Thomas Rickman into a TV movie of the same name directed by Mick Jackson. It tells the true story of sociologist Morrie Schwartz and his relationship to his students.

Plot:

It was a heart warming story where the writer (Mitch Albom) became close to his professor (Morrie). He discovered after his graduation that Morrie was dying because of terminal illness ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). He was surprised and saddened so he decided to visit his old professor every Tuesday. Morrie was like teaching Mitch with many great life lessons in general and they were able to build a beautiful friendship (like father and son) until Morrie’s death.

I am just so thankful to Mitch Albom for this book because reading it really inspires me to live life to the fullest. My favourite part was when Morrie was dying and he explained that we should make sure to get a chance to do all the things that we want before we die. The book was so inspiring as it covers all the major things in life that matters. So whether you’re young or old, you have to read Tuesdays With Morrie especially if you are going through loss.

Okey, here are my 11 favourite quotes from the book:

1.Death ends a life, not a relationship.

2. Forgive yourself before you die then forgive others.

3. Love wins. Love always wins.”

4.Learn to detach. Don’t cling to things, because everything is impermanent.”

5.Don’t let go too soon, but don’t hang on too long.”

6.If you don’t have the support and love and caring and concern that you get from a family, you don’t have much at all. Love is so supremely important.”

7. “The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.”

8. “As you grow, you learn more. If you stayed as ignorant as you were at twenty-two, you’d always be twenty two. Aging is not just decay, you know. It’s growth. It’s more than the negative that you’re going to die, it’s the positive that you understand that you’re going to die and that you will live a better life because of it.”

9. “We need to forgive ourselves. For all the things we didn’t do. All the things we should have done. You can’t get stuck on the regrets of what should have happened.”

10. “If you hold back on the emotions, if you don’t allow yourself to go all the way through them, you can never get to being detached, you’re too busy being afraid.”

11. “The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and to let it come in.”

That’s all for today. Which one did you like the most? Thank you for reading.

“15 Favourite Quotes From The Book It Ends With Us By Colleen Hoover”

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted here. I’ve been trying to write something new but I just can’t concentrate because these past few days have been really hard on me. Many things have happened. However, I’m back so it means that everything’s okay now.

So today, I will be sharing my favourite quotations from the book that I’ve read a couple of months ago. Perhaps, you are already familiar with Colleen Hoover so no need for me to give an introduction about her. I actually have read six of her books and all were really amazing but It Ends With Us is my favourite so far. This is not your typical romance read because the twist in the story is unexpected and thrilling.

Anyway, I have been listing down these quotes when I was still reading the book. As I’ve said in my previous post that I love collecting good quotes that inspires me because it is something I know that I can read whenever I need it. So today, I decided to share with all of you- hoping that these quotes fromIt Ends With Us” will inspire you as well.2018-03-19-17-26-17-811.jpg

1. “All humans make mistakes. What determines a person’s character aren’t the mistakes we make. It’s how we take those mistakes and turn them into lessons rather than excuses.”

2. “I feel like everyone fakes who they really are, when deep down we’re all equal amounts of screwed up. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.”

3. No one is exclusively bad, nor is anyone exclusively good. Some are just forced to work harder at suppressing the bad.”

4. I think that’s one of the biggest signs a person has matured—knowing how to appreciate things that matter to others, even if they don’t matter very much to you.

5. Preventing your heart from forgiving someone you love is actually a hell of a lot harder than simply forgiving them.

6. Sometimes, even grown women need their mother’s comfort so we can just take a break from having to be strong all the time.

7. It’s not a person’s actions that hurt the most. It’s the love. If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear.

8. Life is a funny thing. We only get so many years to live it, so we have to do everything we can to make sure those years are as full as they can be. We shouldn’t waste time on things that might happen someday, or maybe even never.

9. My heart is pounding like it wants out. I wish I could give it a way out. I’d set the mother-fucker free right now if I could.”

10. In the future, if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again . . . fall in love with me.

11. I don’t know how he calmed me down without even talking, but he did. Some people just have a calming presence about them and he’s one of those people.

12. We are all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

13. There have been times I’ve wondered if I could ever allow myself to trust a guy. For the most part, I hate men because the only example I have is my father. But spending all this time with Atlas is changing me. Not in a huge way, I don’t think. I still distrust most people. But Atlas is changing me enough to believe that maybe he’s an exception to the norm.”

14. And when you love someone, seeing them sad also makes you sad.”

15. “I think about how sometimes, no matter how convinced you are that your life will turn out a certain way, all that certainty can be washed away with a simple change in tide.

“Skin Care: Elujai Propolis Myrrh Ample Light Review”

Hi! Today, I will be reviewing a product that I have been using for one month already. I know that my blog is not about product reviews but I just want to share my thoughts about this product just in case you need this.

So I have an fb friend who is an online seller and she tagged me in a post with her long caption about the positive effects of propolis. As a first timer, I asked a lot of questions and didn’t believe her at first. I even did some research and to be honest, majority of the reviews of those who already tried this product were all positive so I finally decided to give it a try. So I bought one bottle for 180 pesos.

Disclaimer: All product reviews posted on this blog are all based on my personal experience and I can assure you that it’s honest and true.

About the product?

This is a product from Korea and is a multi-purpose premium ampoule that contains propolis and myrrh oil that helps boost skin elasticity and vitality. It has an anti-bacterial property which helps in healing pimples, wounds and also claims to reduce the appearance of warts. Also, it is effective in lightening melasma, freckles, skin pigmentation, and pimple scars.

The packaging is a glass bottle with a glass dropper.

I am using this product by putting two drops on my palm as instructed by the seller and then I spread it first before applying all over my face.

What I loved?

I’m so in love with the smell, it’s like a baby powder scent. At first week of using this, I noticed that it did nothing on my face. But it’s true that you always have to be patient when you’re using a new product before noticing the result. So yes, within the second week of regularly using it, I noticed that it lessened the oiliness of my face and my pimple marks and dark spots started to fade. Also, I love how it easily absorbs by my skin and it leaves it so soft and smooth. Moreover, the price is affordable and it can last up to one month.

What I don’t loved?

So far, I don’t have any negative thoughts about this product.

Final thoughts?

Well, This is one of my favorites skin care and I can say that Elujai propolis can truly treat pimples. However, it doesn’t prevent them from coming so you have to use it frequently. Because I tried to stop using it within the 3rd week and I noticed that my pimples started again to come out. So I decided to use it every night before going to bed and morning before applying my makeup. In short, I’m using it as a moisturizer. So withi month of doing this, I noticed that my dark spots and pimples were finally gone. Believe it or not, I can see the improvement on my face. It’s clearer and smoothier than before. About the oiliness, it’s not totally gone but at least, it has a huge difference now not like before that it’s too oily. I am yet to see if there are still changes.

Will I repurchase?

Definitely!

So I would like to recommend Elujai Propolis Myrrh Ample particularly if you have the same problem as mine. However, take note that what works for me may not works for you because we all have different skin types. But still, there’s nothing wrong on giving it a try.

Have you already tried this product? Any thoughts? That’s all for today and thank you for reading.

“Written Poems: Trekking & Elegy of Cynical”

Trekking

Up the sloppy trail,
I counted my breath.
And in every step
moving forward,
I leave a piece of me
for you to keep.
As the distance
between us lengthen,
the tears that have fallen
were drowned by the
harsh wind.
There on the peak
it was silent.
Finally!
I can be nothing

_______________

Elegy of Cynical

Maybe it was faux
And sweetest it felt for a broken doll
Yet ー a bitterest in the
truest that was buried

Waiting. .no doubt from the pain,
carved on another disaster

Nuh! Must this happen? And afraid your words shan’t leave me
It won’t. .beloved, I’m afraid it won’t
Why, death don’t deserve your soul
If tis’ punishment, then my word I deserve all

Of fear of telling, of fear of hurting, all, I deserve all. .

Thank you for reading. Let me know your thoughts about these two poems by commenting below.

“Kaparkan Falls in Tineg Abra”

For me, Abra is one of the least visited provinces here in the Philippines. You probably cannot see the name of this place at the top of the most travelers bucket lists. Perhaps, because of its “unsafe” reputation due to political killing.

However, though I’m not from Abra, I can still say that those dangers were all in the past and it is now safe particularly for travelers. This is as well according to the person I know who is now living in Abra.

So where exactly is Abra?

According to google, it is a landlocked province of the Philippines in the CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region) in Luzon. Its capital is Bangued and is bordered by Ilocos Norte on the northwest, Apayao on the northeast, Kalinga on the mid-east, Mountain Province on the southeast, and Ilocos Sur on the southwest.Recently, it became popular on social media due to its viral photos of a “terraced” waterfalls which is located in Tineg Abra. In my own opinion, perhaps it is described as “terraced” because it is similar to some of the rice terraces view in Mountain Province.

They named this as Kaparkan or Mulawin Falls and it is now one of the rising attractions in the province of Abra and was later featured on the GMA Tv show Biyahe ni Drew. Since then, the show had given enough reason why Abra should be included in every travelers destination in the Cordillera region.

Because of curiosity, I asked the people if how did they get its name- why Kaparkan or Mulawin but apparently, they don’t know (I’ll try to do some research about this). Anyways, who would have thought that Abra has this kind of breathtaking view?

According to the locals, it is good to come here during the rainy season because there’s not much to see during the dry season. Alas! Don’t come here if you’re not an adventurer. I’m telling you that coming here is not just a walk in Burnham park or just a walk along Session Road but rather like a “buwis-buhay” feat.

Additionaly, coming here requires a lot of stamina, effort, patience (specially if you’re coming during the rainy season). Of course, don’t forget to bring waterproof clothes, trash bag, camera and the most important, water water water!. Nonetheless, you will be rewarded with such an awesome view once you reach Kaparkan Falls.

Note: They closed the place back in 2016 for the road improvement and was reopened last 2017. So I strongly encourage every travelers to put Abra on your next travel destinations. There are actually awesome views and hidden gems that can only be seen there. Trust me, it was my first time in Abra and I was really amazed with all the tourist spots that I saw.

Tips: Mostly of the interesting sights require long land travel so I suggest that it’s best to bring your own car if you have. It is best as well to coordinate with the tourism office at the Provincial Capitol in Bangued for the registration before your visit. No one is allowed to go and directly trek the area.
